Preparation for the Supper
Prior to the worship service a table should be placed at the front of the worship area covered with a cloth and with the elements present.
Following the “Time of Commitment” and offering the elders and deacons will take their places at the front of the worship area
Instructions Concerning the Receiving of the Elements
Who should receive the Lord’s Supper?
The Lord’s Supper is a commemorative meal for Christians, therefore only those who have placed their faith in Christ and have been baptized following his or her regeneration should partake of the elements.
How should we receive the Lord’s Supper?
We should receive the elements humbly and thankfully. We should seek to serve those around us by offering the elements to the person or persons seated next to us.
The Observance of the Supper
Now let us come to the Lord’s Table and remember His death for us. As we come let us remember the Apostle Paul’s words to us.
1 Corinthians 11:27-28
Let us now receive the bread and the cup with thankful hearts.
