Joshua 14:6-14

Introduction

Caleb = dog, he was a bulldog for God.

1A.      Caleb’s Faith

1B.      The magnitude of his faith

Six times we are told that he followed the Lord “fully” (Num. 14:24; 32:12; Deut. 1:36; Joshua 14:8-9, 14).

2B.      The measure of his faith

Caleb was “an overcomer” (1 John 2:13-14 and 5:4), a man who surrendered wholly to the Lord and fully obeyed His Word.

2A.      Caleb’s Faithfulness

He was committed to God's plan  (Joshua 14:6-7; Jeremiah 29:11)

He was convinced that God would keep His promise  (Joshua 14:8-9; Titus 1:1-3; Philippians 1:6)

He was confident of God's provision  (Joshua 14:10-12; Philippians 4:13,19)

3A.      Caleb’s Future

Man’s blessing  (Joshua 14:13)

God’s blessing  (Joshua 14:14)
