Psalm 27:1

The Person of the Light

1 John 1:5 (NASB) 5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.

1 Timothy 6:16 (NASB) 16 who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.

John 1:5, 9 (NASB) 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.  9 There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.

John 8:12 (NASB) 12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."

The Purity of the Light

Leviticus 11:44 (NASB) 44 'For I am the LORD your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy. And you shall not make yourselves unclean with any of the swarming things that swarm on the earth.

Habakkuk 1:13 (NASB) 13 Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, And You can not look on wickedness with favor. Why do You look with favor On those who deal treacherously? Why are You silent when the wicked swallow up Those more righteous than they?

The Purpose of the Light

Psalms 43:3 (NASB) 3 O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your dwelling places.
