1.         Transgression - peshah

A rebellion against God and His authority

2.         Sin – chattath

To miss the mark, the target

The target is God’s law, it is a failure to measure up to God’s standard.

3.         Iniquity – hawon

Corrupt, twisted, crooked

Summary

Transgression – our relationship with God

Sin – our relationship with the Law

Iniquity – our relationship with ourselves, sin twists us.
