Genesis 28:18–21
18 Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it.
19 And he called the name of that place Bethel; but the name of that city had been Luz previously.
20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on,
21 so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God.
A landmark is:
1: an object (as a stone or tree) that marks the boundary of land
2 a: a conspicuous object on land that marks a locality
Margret Cotton let always know where I was at.
She was a Landmark that set a standard for me to live up to based upon the bible lessons that she taught me.
She was a servant that was always in her place and prepared and would expect the same from you.
I could feel her saying to me subliminally you are preaching good but...
God was with this dear lady because in could imagine her prayer
1 Chronicles 4:9–10 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.
There are many people today that have lost their focus because one of our landmarks is missing. But i am encouraged that there is a ceremony taking place in heaven where Margret and William are once again united and celebrating.
