Second, in a post of 300-500 words, explain Paul's use of the "body" metaphor in 1 Corinthians by answering the following question: Does he use it to sustain a concord that supported the status quo or does his family rhetoric render the metaphor more democratic in its orientation and goal? Using substantive textual evidence from 1 Corinthians, support your answer.
I feel that Paul's use of the "body" metaphor falls more in line with the second part of the question more than the first, especially in regards to 1 Corinthians 12.
