Everybody ain’t for you, and you, are not for everybody. That is just fine and you need to be okay with that. Everyone that seems like a good fit might not be. Everyone that seems like they fit you, might not. And not because there is a personality incompatibility. Or, because their is a deficiency in their character. Or because you just don’t like them or they don’ t like you. Those are all good reasons to consider when aligning with someone. Sometimes, most of the time, a person is worth connecting with because they have not connected with God. It is a harsh reality that seemingly potential partnerships are defunct because they don’t align principally with your convictions and beliefs in God. It might seem harsh at face value, or even unnecessary and decisive, but it is God’s way for God’s people to maintain distinct from the world. In the same way that God is was not like the other gods of Egypt, Greece, Rome, or any place else, God’s people are not like the people of the world. There must be a difference. The difference is not always obvious from our behavior because Church folk can be the messiest folk, and unchurched folk can be the kindest. The difference is in our allegiance to Christ and who we are yoked with in life, namely each-other. In all of scripture from cover to cover there are always distinctions made between the righteous and the wicked, those who belong to and with God, and those who do not.

1. Can’t Make Progress with Incompatible Partners

The two cannot work together.
Deut 22:10-”You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.”
Matthew 11:29 “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

God Present in his People and Imparts his Promises.

I will dwell in them and walk among them.
Come out from among them. An expected Transition and transformation
