I. The Example of Faith.

Joshua 24:31 KJV 1900
And Israel served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that overlived Joshua, and which had known all the works of the Lord, that he had done for Israel.

A. Faith to defeat Giants

Numbers 14:6–9 KJV 1900
And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. If the Lord delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the Lord is with us: fear them not.

B. Faith to Follow God.

Joshua was a doer. We need more men and women to stop talking and get busy for the kingdom of God.
D.L. Moody once said to critic, "Its clear you don't like my way of evangelism. However, I like my way of doing it better than your way of not doing it. "

II. The Enthusiasm of Faith.

Joshua was firm in His faith and he lived imploring others to follow His example.
Joshua 24:14–15 KJV 1900
Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

A. His faith was Imploring.

He challenged Israel to follow after God in the same manner with which he followed God.

B. His Faith wasn’t negotiable.

He was unafraid to serve Gd alone and this is evident by his life.

III. The Endurance of Faith.

The reason Joshua’s faith endured to Israel was because he had reminded them and displayed to them the faithfulness if God.

A. The memorial of faith.

Joshua 24:26–27 KJV 1900
And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the sanctuary of the Lord. And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the Lord which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.

B. The Investment of faith.

Joshua 24:32 KJV 1900
And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in Shechem, in a parcel of ground which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the children of Joseph.
