Relationship

When Abram was ninety-nine years old the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless, 2 that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly.”

So, what would it take for God to multiply you greatly?
A. Walk before me
B. Be blameless
The first of these seems doable, right. We can walk before God can’t we?
The verb, walk is not simply to go before me. In Genesis 12, God asks Abram to go and to find the place where he sends him. This is a walk of faith for Abram. What we are really seeing here is an attitude of walk. The tough thing is walking in the light. Have you ever come to the altar of God and felt really filthy? It can happen when you come before a Holy God.
To be blameless, can be the reason when we come before God, that we feel dirty.
