Hearing Speeds Up Christ’s Return!

Hearing Brings Faith for Healing

Lame man gained faith from hearing Paul.
Acts 14:8–10 NLT
8 While they were at Lystra, Paul and Barnabas came upon a man with crippled feet. He had been that way from birth, so he had never walked. He was sitting 9 and listening as Paul preached. Looking straight at him, Paul realized he had faith to be healed. 10 So Paul called to him in a loud voice, “Stand up!” And the man jumped to his feet and started walking.

Hearing Brings Faith for Blessing

Holy Spirit baptism received by hearing – not by obeying Moses.
Galatians 3:2 NLT
2 Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.

Hearing Brings Faith for Progression

You can’t go where you didn’t grow.
Development – continual process of hearing = watered seed – deeper roots – 100 fold

Hearing Builds Stability

Mark 4:28 NLT
28 The earth produces the crops on its own. First a leaf blade pushes through, then the heads of wheat are formed, and finally the grain ripens.

Hearing Builds Consistency

Easier to recognize
Hebrews 13:8
Hebrews 13:8 NLT

Closing – Protect Your Hearing

All attacks come for the Word (not you) – to weaken and discourage you
If you are upset or weak – tune out (or tune off) the world, spend more time with God.
