Believer’s Authority Part II 052106

We have no problem seeing Jesus having authority, but not me!!!

God crowned us with His name, Psalm 8:1-9, ELOHIM, when praise is hot, the war

is on, and the devil will depart

The authority was in His name,

Verse 5 & 6 speak of God and then dominion, we will get this someday

For us to walk in this, it brings the glory back to God, we did not create, He did, Ro 1:25

After the fall, Satan’s authority was the authority he stole from Adam, Rev 13:17-18, at

no time did God give angels authority over man or the earth, the number of a man

Adam knowingly committed treason, 1 Timothy 2:14

Satan’s rule, Luke 4:2-7 & 2 Corinthians 4:3-7

Then came The Incarnation of Jeshua, 1 Corinthians 15:44-50, Jeshua passed the test, he came as flesh and defeated the enemy, ascended and sent His Spirit to empower us

Matthew 28:18-20, is Jesus commissioning and empowering his church

Mark 16:15-20 and THEY went forth and preached everywhere, that is authority

The LORD is working with and confirming The Word

Our authority rests in His name, His Word, and in His blood

“In My Name” show the hits, almost all in New Covenant

The enemy wants you to be ignorant of your position

False “in my name” Mark 13:1-10 & Luke 21:8, Satan understands where the power is

and offers a false anointed one & false anointing

In much of today’s church, no need to preach a false messiah, just keep them in the dark

about their authority and power

“If it is your will let them be healed”

It is God’s will to heal, but we are going to have to act on the covenant…Col 2:8-10

Charles Haddon Spurgeon “Day & Night” May 18 devotional…

All the attributes of Christ, as God and man, are at our disposal. All the fulness of the Godhead, whatever that marvellous term may comprehend, is ours to make us complete. He cannot endow us with the attributes of Deity; but he has done all that can be done, for he has made even his divine power and Godhead subservient to our salvation. His omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, immutability and infallibility, are all combined for our defence. Arise, believer, and behold the Lord Jesus yoking the whole of his divine Godhead to the chariot of salvation! How vast his grace, how firm his faithfulness, how unswerving his immutability, how infinite his power, how limitless his knowledge! All these are by the Lord Jesus made the pillars of the temple of salvation; and all, without diminishing their infinity, are covenanted to us as our perpetual inheritance. The fathomless love of the Saviour’s heart is every drop of it ours; every sinew in the arm of might, every jewel in the crown of majesty, the immensity of divine knowledge, and the sternness of divine justice, all are ours, and shall be employed for us. The whole of Christ, in his adorable character as the Son of God, is by himself made over to us most richly to enjoy. His wisdom is our direction, his knowledge our instruction, his power our protection, his justice our surety, his love our comfort, his mercy our solace, and his immutability our trust. He makes no reserve, but opens the recesses of the Mount of God and bids us dig in its mines for the hidden treasures. “All, all, all are yours,” saith he, “be ye satisfied with favour and full of the goodness of the Lord.” Oh! how sweet thus to behold Jesus, and to call upon him with the certain confidence that in seeking the interposition of his love or power, we are but asking for that which he has already faithfully promised.
