The Family Stands Firm Together

Philippians 4:1–7 ESV
Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved. I entreat Euodia and I entreat Syntyche to agree in the Lord. Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6 ESV
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Prayer: Quiet and still before God.
Supplication: Asking God, talking to God.
With Thanksgiving:
Thanksgiving is the highest expression of faith.
Worry is the opposite of faith.
The greatest privilege we have is prayer. The greatest failure most of us have is prayer.
Psalm 65:2 ESV
O you who hear prayer, to you shall all flesh come.
Blessings of God:
Psalm 68:19 NKJV
Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah
Lamentations 3:22–23 ESV
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
4. Peace of God (v.7)
“Peace is not the subtraction of your problems from life; it is the addition of power to meet your problems”
You don’t keep this peace, This peace keeps you!

The Family Ideals

Philippians 4:8 ESV
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Without these Christian standards no ideals exist for the First Family.
We take back ground conquered by the enemy
We stand together in the victory and power of the gospel.
We are conquerers and overcomers
