INTRODUCTION

Realize Who You Are in Christ

2 Corinthians 5:15–17 ESV
and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
Huge paradigm shift
Christ is now preeminent and supreme
Comprehensive implications
We orbit around him not vis versa
Subjugate my ethnicity/blackness to His Christ-ness
John 13:34–35 ESV
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
New Creation
New Way of Looking at People
My level of faith directly correlates to my level of God’s Word

Seek Scriptural Answers to All Things

The message of Christ is one of total equality in Christ
Where is the idea of racial reconciliation in scripture?
Ephesians 2:14–16 ESV
For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.
2 Corinthians 5:18 ESV
All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;
Peter gets uncomfortable and doesn’t sit with the Gentiles. He literally grabs another lunch table far away from them (Galatians 2:11-14).

John 4:41 ESV
And many more believed because of his word.
John 4:42 ESV
They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.”

No Diversity, Inclusion and Equity department was formed

Going Forward In the Light

2 Corinthians 10:3–5 ESV
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
Romans 12:17–18 ESV
Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Galatians 5:17 ESV
For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
The message of the New testament is consistent: All men are equal before God, all men are one in Christ, and all men have equal claim to the blood of Jesus and His kingdom. THERE IS NO ROOM IN CHRISTIANITY FOR RACISM OR ETHNIC PREJUDICE.
