The Greek word used here is a very similar word to the the word for God Love G25

We will Notice that there would seem no difference in the word used for love in the passage we have just read

We now in v 17 see jesus ask peter for the third time.

Only this Time jesus used a different word for Love than the Kind of Love jesus was looking for from peter

jesus used the same word Peter used for Love

We now find Peter becoming a little annoyed to say .

You know that I Love Thee

Peter used the same word in the Greek for love he always used
