The foundation of the Christian walk is the belief and trust we put in our relationship with Jesus, The Christ, the Son. If we believe that, we believe that He sent us a Comforter, the Holy Spirit to live in our hearts to begin a work in us that draws us closer and closer to Christlikeness. If we believe that, we believe the Holy Spirit gives us the right and privilege to speak directly to God. If we are to speak to God, then we must trust that He is listening and responding to our calls to Him in praise and worship or venting and petition. We strengthen that trust by learning about promises he’s already kept for others from His Word and the lives of our brothers and sisters, as we build a log of promises kept in our own lives. That’s the reason for today’s message. All of mankind knows the scientific discovery of what a rainbow is, but how many of us know the REASON it was CREATED? Witness the first rainbow on earth. A promise from God.
