Love is a Two-Way Street
A college student returned to his dormitory room crestfallen and despondent. His roommate asked what was wrong. The young man said, “I asked my girlfriend to marry me and she turned me down.” His roommate replied, “Well, cheer up! You know a woman’s ‘no’ really means ‘yes.’ The despondent young man answered, “But she did not say ‘no.’ She said, ‘Aw phooey!’ ”
Love is a two way street. Offered love requires a response. When God offers His love, we can accept it or reject it.
