Business As Usual for the Children of God (Inauguration Day, 2021)

Jeremiah 29:1-14

· V.4 Israel was planted in Babylon, we have been planted in Christ.

o Romans 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

o Matthew 15:13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

§ If these things are not of God, then God will take care of it, and use it for His good.

o 1 Corinthians 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

§ God has planted you here and now, for His purpose.

· V.5-6 Build houses, take wives, bear sons and daughters.

o Business as usual – What is our business?

o Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

· V.7 Seek peace, pray for it, pray for the country and the leadership.

o Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

· V.8 Be not deceived by false witnesses and prophets.

o Our hope is in Christ, and Christ alone, the hope of glory.

· V.11 God knows the plans He has.

o John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

· V.13-14 Seek me and ye shall find me.

o Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

The just shall live by faith, faith in God and not in man.
