Day 1
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
Day 2
6 Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.”
7 Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.
Day 3
9 Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.
11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so.
Day 4
16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
Day 5
21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Day 6
25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
slide of constants
Gravitational Constant
-> a change in 1 x 10^60
The universe would have either expanded so rapidly that no stars could form, therefore life couldn’t exist, or it would have collapsed back in on itself.
10^14 cells in your body
10^20 seconds that have ticked by since time began (according to evolutionists)
10^86 atoms in the observable universe
1 with 60 zeroes!
1,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000
How many of those values result in life?
How many result in no life at all?
999,999,999,999,
999,999,999,999,
999,999,999,999,
999,999,999,999,
999,999,999,999
Options result in no life at all.
Which is more likely?
Does this value have to be what it is?
And that’s just gravity!
Once you get the gravitational constant correct, you still have to get all the others correct.
Cosmological Constant
A change in 1 in 10^120
The universe would expand too rapidly or too slowly and no life could exist.
Mass and Energy distribution
A change in 1 in 10^10^123
The universe would be hostile to life of any kind.
What is the chance of getting gravity correct THEN the mass and energy distribution?
What’s special about the values these numbers have?
One thing: life.
Any other value for even one of these numbers, and there’s no life.
Why would God care so much about life?
He did it all so you could exist. Anything even infinitesimally different, and He couldn’t have a relationship with you. You wouldn’t exist.
Look at creation again. Each thing was done so He could have a relationship with You.
So, what should our priority be?
What’s God’s priority?
