Exodus 17:8–16 KJV 1900
8 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. 9 And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. 10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. 13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. 14 And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. 15 And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi: 16 For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

Isreal having been newly delivered from Egypt by the hand God;

They have crossed the Red Sea;

They were fed with manna and water from a rock;

and they have been pushed unexpectedly right out the exodus in a season of battle and war.

After learning how to be slaves they quickly and abruptly have to learn how to fight as soldiers.

They have come in contact with the Amalekites, the Amalekites were the bitter, life-long enemies of Israel.

They were a nation, the grandsons of Esau and they carried his blood.

Esau was a wild hunter who was the twin brother of Jacob, older and stronger.

We see his descendants come upon against Isreal and wage battle .

How do you receiving a blessing of deliverance and then become face with a battle of bad descendants.

I have to tell you That’s just how the enemy will do you:

you get over one hump,

one bad situation,

one bad event,

one bad obstacle and quickly fall right into another unforeseen dilemma;

No wonder we have used that term so many time that “IF IT AIN’T ONE THING ITS ANOTHER”.

It always seems that :

Those who are not fighters

Those who are not violent

Those who are not loud mouths

Those who are not instigators are always the ones who are picked on and bullied!

From a psychological or social stand point the Amakelites should have whipped out Isreal but out of everything Isreal didn't have they had one great super-califragilistic-expialidocious-thing going for them and that was God was on their side!!!;

Thats for someone who’s listening or watching this morning who sometimes seem like you have more :

bad days then good days

more downs then up

more enemies then friends;

COME HERE PAUL,

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

These Amakelites are the residents of South Canaan and they are not frighten by Israel's power but their afraid of there potential; and anytime God is on your side he can do anything but fail!!!,

The Amakelites weren’t afraid of what Isreal was but they were afraid of what Isreal was to become,

That’s why your haters really mad at you:

They know you don’t have nothing,

they know you robbing peter to pay Paul,

they know you between a rock and a hard place ,

but they also know that because of your God given potential IT WANT ALWAYS BE LIKE THIS, SOONER OR LATER ITS GOING TO WORK IN YOUR FAVOR, WHY, BECAUSE HE’S GONNA TURN IT AROUND FOR YOUR GOOD!!!!!!

WATCH THIS WATCH THIS....

Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. Rephidim is a place where the Israelites camped during their wilderness journey

And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
