Leadership
Notes

Step #1—Put your dreams on paper. Note the people they would affect and benefit. Then pray for God to affirm whether your dreams are His will.
Step #2—Take time to think about the future. What would happen if your ideas were realized? Once you have your answer, go to the next step.
Step #3—Set goals that reflect this ideal future. It’s been said, “What your mind can conceive, it can achieve.” Measurable goals will help you succeed in fulfilling your dreams.
Step #4—Enlist the support of others. Start with God by making sure this is something that’s within His will. Ask others for advice. Seek help as you develop your strategy. If it’s a spiritual matter, ask others to think and pray along with you as you look to God for His “go ahead” and direction.
Step #5—Keep moving forward. Regardless of sure-to-come roadblocks and opposition, keep moving forward. Refuse to give up on what is a right direction for your family, team, cause, or company. If your idea is a good one, somehow it will take root and blossom. If it’s an idea that has spiritual implications and you believe it is God’s will, then take steps to act upon your vision. After all, you are only endeavoring to fulfill His desire. Remember Psalm 37:4: “Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”1
