OUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST

Intro. - Who are you? An overcomer, child of God, fellow heirs
We Are A Chose People Isaiah 43:20-21
We are chosen for a new relationship. We have become sons of Go and heirs with Christ
We are chosen to serve. With relationship comes responsibility.
We Are A Royal Priesthood Exodus 19:5-6
We have access to God; there is no human mediator
We serve on behalf of others.
We mediate God’s grace to others - to save the lost and edify the saints.
We Are A Holy Nation Exodus 19:5-6
We are to be different from the world. We are dedicated for God’s service, to do His will.
“Nation” indicates oneness. We are to be all together.
We Are A People Belonging To God Exodus 19:5-6
The value of something often depends on who the owner is or was.
We belong to God Barclay says, “The greatness of the Christian lies in the fact that he is God’s.”
Concl. - Not of this world 1 Peter 2:11-12
We are aliens and strangers in the world
We are to live good lives in the world
God will be glorified
