Chosen To Live a Holy Life (Walk with God)

Perfect in Goodness and Righteousness – Sanctification - God’s Righteous Nature - Moral and Ethical Wholeness-Perfection; Freedom Moral Evil

1 Peter 1:13-16 (Be Holy – Live Holy)

13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the endc for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

13 Be alert and think straight. Put all your hope in how kind God will be to you when Jesus Christ appears.

14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

14 Behave like obedient children. Don’t let your lives be controlled by your desires, as they used to be.

15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

15 Always live as God’s holy people should, because God is the one who chose you, and he is holy.

16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

16 That’s why the Scriptures say, “I am the holy God, and you must be holy too.”

Romans 8:1 (Walk in Spirit not Flesh)

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

If you belong to Christ Jesus, you won’t be punished.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (Newness of Life)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

17 Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new person. The past is forgotten, and everything is new.

Deuteronomy 28:9 (In God’s Ways)

9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

9 If you follow and obey the Lord, he will make you his own special people, just as he promised.

1 John 1:7 (No More Sin - Live Holy)

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

7 But if we live in the light, as God does, we share in life with each other. And the blood of his Son Jesus washes all our sins away.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

8 If we say that we have not sinned, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth isn’t in our hearts.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

9 But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away.
