*DISCIPLE* -Student, Learner, Pupil-Follower of Jesus-Assists in spreading the doctrines

A disciple of Christ is one who (1) believes his doctrine, (2) rests on his sacrifice, (3) imbibes his spirit, and (4) imitates his example

Luke 14:26-27

26 If any /man/ come to me (To Follow), and hate (Love More Than)-(Time) not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters (Flesh and Blood), yea, and his own life also (Self-Thinking), he cannot be my disciple

 

 27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross (Carry~/Press Forward in Opposition), and come after me (Follow), cannot be my disciple

 

 

Matthew 10:1

1 And when he had called unto /him /(Face to Face) his twelve disciples, he gave them power (Authority) /against/ (Over) unclean spirits (Leads you Against God), to cast them out (Drive-Force), and to heal all manner (Kind) of sickness and all manner of disease

 

 

 

 

Matthew 28:16-20

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them (Directed - Made Appointment)-(Meet Him).

 

17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted (Still had Doubt).

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying (Breaking the silence), All power is given unto me (I Have Been Given) in heaven and in earth (Authority-Rule).

19 Go ye therefore (Now Then Go), and teach all nations (Make Them My Disciples All Nations), baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 

 

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Every Thing I Told You-Do-Give Account): and, lo, I am with you always (Every Minute-Situration), /even/ unto the end of the world

 

•     They were under his authority

•     They were to make more disciples

•     They were to baptize and teach these new disciples to obey Christ

•     They would have Christ with them always
