*1 Corinthians 12:31*

31 But covet (I Want you to Desire) earnestly (Serious) the best gifts (Best-Helpful) (Life and Living): and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way (How to Desire and Get the Best) (Not through Striving but, Through Loving).

LOVE

 

*1 Corinthians 13:1-6*

1 Though I speak with the tongues (Multiple Languages) of men (Human) and of angels (Heavenly), and have not Love (Love Others)-(Devotion), I am become /as/ sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal (Noisy, Anoing, Gong).

 

2 And though I have /the gift of/ prophecy (Interpreting Divine Will and Purpose), and understand all mysteries (Secret Truths), and all knowledge (Knew Everything about Everything); and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not Love (God’s Love in Me), I am nothing.

(Useless Nobody)

 

3 And though I bestow (Give Out) all my goods to feed /the poor/, and though I give my body to be burned (Sacrificed), and have not Love, it profiteth me nothing.

(Get Nothing Out of It)

 

4 Love suffereth long (Patient), /and/ is kind (Gentle and Soft); Love envieth not (Boiling over with Jealousy); Love vaunteth (Boast, Think too Highly-Put Other Down-Tell Me) not itself, is not puffed up (Proud), 

 

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly (Conceited, Arrogant or Rude), seeketh not her own (Demand its Own Way), is not easily provoked (Touchy, Quick Tempered), thinketh no evil (No Record of Wrongs that Others Do)

 

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity (Injustice /and/ Unrighteousness), but rejoiceth in the truth (Wins Out)

 

*1 Corinthians 13:13*

13 And now abideth faith, hope, Love, these three; but the greatest of these /is/ Love.
