The Potter’s House

Jeremiah 18:1-6

1 The word (Message) which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 Arise (Get Up), and go down to the potter’s house (Live/Work), and there I will cause thee to hear my words (Speak to you there).

3 Then I went down to the potter’s house (As told), and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels (Potter clay pots on wheel (Working). 

4 And the vessel (Holds something) that he made of clay was marred (Messed up) in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel (Same messed up clay), as seemed good to the potter to make it (Don’t give up). 

5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying (Only after what I saw)

6 O house of Israel (My people), cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. (I have power over you, just as a potter has power over clay)

Psalms 100:3

3 Know ye that the LORD he is God (Our Ruler is

 God): it is he that  hath made us, and not we

 ourselves; we are his people, (He created us, and

 we belong to him) and the sheep of his pasture. 

Ephesians 2:10

10 For we are his workmanship (God’s masterpiece), created in Christ Jesus (Born anew) unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. 

10 God planned for us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live. That’s why he sent Christ to make us what we are.
