Sermon Tone Analysis

*Ephesians 1:4-5*

4 According as he hath chosen us in him (Nature) (Picked us Out for *Himself*) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (Life Style Pleases Him) and without blame (Guilt, Fault) before him (His Sight) in love (Be Loving People):

 

5 Having predestinated (Already Plan) us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will (God Wanted to Please Him)

 

*1 Peter 1:13-16*

13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind (Alert and Think Straight), be sober (Self Control), and hope (Look Forward) to the end for the grace (Special Blessing) that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 

 

14 As (Live) obedient (Respectful) children (To God), not fashioning yourselves according to the former (Don’t Slip Back) lusts (Life Control by Desires) in your ignorance (Didn’t Know Better):

 

15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy (God’s Nature) in all manner of conversation (Living)

 

*1 John 1:7-9*

7 But if we walk in the light (Live in God’s Presence), as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth (Washes) us from all sin (Sin and Guilt=Stain).

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us /our/ sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
