Many handle Scripture as a doctrinal textbook.

God is our Father and Creator. He is the Father of those who are in His covenant, those who keep His commandments.

Solomon -

1 Chronicles 22:10 NKJV

10 He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son, and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’

Solomon = Peace. Pointing out to Jesus, the ultimate Prince of Peace.

What does the Bible mean by Covenant?

Most fully defines who god is and how God operates.

Hosea 6:6–7 ESV

6 For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. 7 But like Adam they transgressed the covenant; there they dealt faithlessly with me.

God became human in order to live out the relational terms of the covenant for us, toward us, in us.

He received the death we deserved, so we could live the life He deserved.
