1 Corinthians 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
How fast can you blink your eye? Do we even know when we are blinking them? To blink one’s eye is an automatic response. This action is one of the amazing things about God. He figured us out from the beginning to the end. When He formed man out of the ground, we are not told that He formed every eyelash or that He placed every strand of hair perfectly in place. We read, Then the Lord formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being (Genesis 2:7).
The expression, in the blink of an eye, is spoken to let someone know just how quickly a thing can happen. How many times during the day do we give God praise for all of the things He has done that we never think about. David expresses to God in Psalms 139:13-18 His superintendence over the natural process of reproduction. David praises God over the thought of how marvelously He made him. David is mindful of God’s marvelous knowledge. David even goes so far as to mention how he was woven together with veins and arteries. He realized that God saw every detail from his skeleton and his unformed body in his embryo state. He also records that God prerecorded all the days of his life even before he was born. Isn’t is wonderful to know that God cares so much about us that He not only determined how long we will live but He is also interested in the very details of our everyday lives. I am so thankful also and I praise God along with David that God marvelously and fearfully planned out my life. I cannot even imagine the care with which God thought my life through. And not only did God do all of this, He works it all together for good (Romans 8:28). Oh, how my life changed when I realized that God meant it for good. Realization can happen in the blink of an eye, y’all.
David concluded verses 17 and 18 by stating that the Lord’s plans for His people are most precious and in fact they cannot be counted. God’s plans for His people are relevant because each morning when we awaken, God is still with us as He was with David. God is still extending His thoughts toward us.
Take some time each day to read God’s word and let Him revive you. He created us for such a time as this. Time to think about and reflect upon Him so He can encourage you with His words; thereby, causing you to soar like an eagle.
May God bless and keep you all the days of your lives.
