The Good Samaritan
The Good Samaritan
A man robbed, beatened and lifted for dead- (could be you or me needing help) Luke 10:30
Neither a Priest, didn’t help [descendant of Aaron having priestly duties -likely a Pharisee] Luke 10:31
Nor a Levite, didn’t help [from the tribe of Levi, but not a descendant of Aaron, but assisted the priests] Luke 10:32
But, a unlikely Samaritan helped! [Samaritans and Jews were at odds with each other those days] Luke 10:33-35
Jesus says, “Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor? A, B or C? Luke 10:36
i remember years ago, before the help a having a cell phone. I broke down on the side of the road with no means for calling for help. At best we either walk to the nearest gas station o hope someone would stop and help. It was amazing how many cars would just drive by without any hesitation of stopping, However now and then when someone would stop-what a joyful feeling that someone careed enought to stop and help out-That was a true neighbor!
Conclusion
Jesus said,”the one who showed Mercy! Luke 10:37
