WHY SHOULD I COME TO CHURCH ?

Ephesians 1:5

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

God had already plan before we were born (physically) to Adopt us into HIS OWN FAMILY (spiritually) through Jesus Christ

# 1 – You are in God’s Family!

1 Peter 2:17

Honour alle men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

Respect everyone “Show special Love for God’s People” (the brotherhood)

# 2- Show Some Love for your Spiritual Family !

·       God’s Family meets together every Sunday at 11:00 am.

·       You can only show your Love to your Spiritual Family when you See them on Sunday Mornings.

·        We not only meet on Sundays to see God, We also meet on Sundays to See Each Other.

GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR YOU TO COME TO CHURCH !

God’s purpose for “YOU” to come to Church is for you to be part of

               “God’s Loving Family” this is called “Fellowship”.

# 3 – Are you in God’s Family, But Don’t want to

                       be a Part of God’s Family?

1 Timothy 3:14-15

These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: 15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and groundb of the truth.

I hope to visit you soon. But I am writing these instructions, 15 so that if I am delayed, you will know how everyone who belongs to God’s family ought to behave. After all, the church of the living God is the strong foundation of truth.

“I’m writing… so you’ll know how to live in the family of God.

That family is the church...”

We come to Church to Fellowship – To see God together with our Sisters and Brothers.

There are four important aspects about our Fellowship with Each Other.

FELLOWSHIP

a)     MEMBERSHIP:  CHOOSING TO BELONG

b)    FRIENDSHIP: LEARNING TO SHARE

c)     PARTNERSHIP: DOING MY PART

d)    KINSHIP: LOVING BELIEVERS LIKE FAMILY

FELLOWSHIP: MEMBERSHIP:  CHOOSING TO BELONG

You are not only a Believer, But “YOU BELONG”

Ephesians 2:19

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

You are citizens with everyone else who belongs to the family of God.

“...You are members of God's very own family... and you belong

in God's household with every other Christian.”  

FELLOWSHIP: FRIENDSHIP: LEARNING TO SHARE

We are not just Family, But “WE ARE ALSO FRIENDS”

Sharing is something that Family and Friends “Do Naturally”

Acts 2:44

And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

All of God’s Family often met together Constantly, and they shared everything they had.

FELLOWSHIP: PARTNERSHIP: DOING MY PART

Everyone in God’s Family Work Together to do their Part for God’s Family”

1 Corinthians 3:9

For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandryb, ye are God’s building. 

“We Work Together” for God we are His Garden and His Building

.

“We are PARTNERS working together for God.”

FELLOWSHIP: KINSHIP: LOVING BELIEVERS LIKE FAMILY

We are not just a Family. The Family of God is a Loving Family!

Romans 12:10

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; 

Love each other as brothers and sisters and honor others more than you do yourself. 

“Be devoted to each other Like a Loving Family that Belongs to God.”

I have not written these things to try to convince you to keep coming to Church.

But what I have written is God’s Purpose for you to Keep Coming to Church. Will you Continue to Honor that Purpose. Will you Continue to be Obedient to God?  for God said in His Word, If you Love me you will obey me.

There are 168 Hours in every week. Does God deserve at least 2 of those Hours “From You” one day (Sunday) out of 7 Days.
