A. We have been taught the truth
1. The Doctrines
2. The Principles
3. The Standards
B. Do we trust them?
+ I Thess. 2:13
· Why is this important?
+ As the world gets worse, we see so many churches slipping away from the truth.
+ Much of this slipping begins with our standards. A corruption of these, leads to corruptions of principles, which then leads to a corruption of Doctrine.
+ This usually starts with a “what’s wrong with that” kind of attitude.
+I Peter 1:13-16
+ We have heard it often from Pastor, that our culture has no bearing on the truth of God’s word. Things are either true or not true. I like the example of pants.
+ The problem is that we don’t like to make waves, but like Bro. Aaron mentioned, we are to be becoming, or good examples of what Sound doctrine is, not weird for the sake of being weird, but with a purpose of following truth!

Conclusion
- We have been given the riches of truth, what are we going to do with it?
- Think of all these options as ways to now invest that truth!
- The best part is that not a single one of these actions is going to be bad investment, in fact, with all of them, we will see blessings!
- I’ve never heard one person say, after doing a Bible study, or being that Iron that sharpens Iron, that they wished they hadn’t done that, or that someone was sad that they were in control of themselves in some situation.
- Because of God’s truth from His Word, and from the teaching of others, we should be fully equipped for every good work! It is only our lack of faith, or trust in Him that is keeping us from doing them!
