Passage of Scripture: Lamentations 3:19-25

Lamentations 3:19–25 ESV
Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall! My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me. But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
2 Thessalonians 3:3 NLT
But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
1 Corinthians 1:9 NLT
God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
2 Timothy 2:13 NLT
If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.
1 Peter 4:19 NLT
So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.
1 John 1:9 NLT
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

When do we experience God’s Faithfulness?

Point 1: When we stay in HIS will

In HIS will there is:
Protection
Provision
Satisfaction
Fulfillment
Success
Joy and Peace
Contentment
Confidence

Point 2: When we stand on HIS word!

Mark 13:31 NLT
Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.
Isaiah 40:8 NLT
The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.”
Hebrews 4:12 GW
God’s word is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts as deep as the place where soul and spirit meet, the place where joints and marrow meet. God’s word judges a person’s thoughts and intentions.

Point 3: When we serve in HIs way!

Servanthood
Philippians 2:7 NLT
Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,
Sacrifice
Luke 9:23 NLT
Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.
Sanctification
Romans 12:1–2 NLT
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Point 4: When we sow in His work!
Galatians 6:7–9 NLT
Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
We experience GOD’s Faithfulness:
When we stay in HIS will!
When we stand on HIS word!
When we serve in HIS way!
When we sow in HIS work!
