What are some things we tend to do during pauses in our life?
Eat or rest too much.
Escape,
Over doing any addiction,
Figure out to handle things on your own.
Why we dont like to pause.
In The Pause we tend to feel more.
It is our Father’s heart to let us feel with our hearts and be led by our spirit.
When we pause we realize the places we dont trust God to take care of for us.
Psalm 46:10 ESV
10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Psalm 46:10 NASB95
10 “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
These quotation marks are God speaking to the people who are in a war.
This chapter is about a people in a time of war.
Psalm 46:1–4 NASB95
1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; 3 Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah. 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God?
This river brings us to life. This is what everyone is looking for all around and outside of us.
The holy dwelling places of the Most High?
Where is this dwelling place that the Most High abides?
It is in our hearts.
The way I see it we can look at life from all the conflict and doubts of these times.
or
We can look at life from a place of dwelling with God.
This will cause a river to flow from with in you that all the people around are thirsty for.
When we look at life from that dwelling place with God, He will shout to the enemy's of our time to “CEASE!”
Dwelling with Father creates a pause in our lives where we trust Him to defeat the darkness.
Closing:

A Song. 5 God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. 6 The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered; He raised His voice, the earth melted. 7 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah. 8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations in the earth. 9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire. 10 “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” 11 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold.
