What Is Worship? Anything we do with an attitude of reverence toward God.
proskuneo (προσκυνέω, 4352), “to make obeisance, do reverence to” (from pros, “towards,” and kuneo, “to kiss”), is the most frequent word rendered “to worship.” It is used of an act of homage or reverence
1 Corinthians 10:31 (KJV 1900)
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Daniel Had A Made Up Mind To Worship God.

Daniel 1:8 NASB
But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the king’s choice food or with the wine which he drank; so he sought permission from the commander of the officials that he might not defile himself.
Why did Daniel stay pure? Because he loved God.

Distinguished By His Relationship With God

Daniel 6:3–5 NKJV
Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him. Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”
Excellent spirit
Faithful, no error our fault in him
All we can use against him is his God.
Have It All, But Above All Keep Awe.
Matthew 19:16-22
Rich young ruler - 4 commands concerning God were missing. Daniel was different than the rich young ruler. Daniel would have money, power, prestige, but they would not have him. Daniel used them for His people.

Keep Him First And He’ll Do What He’s Famous For

Anyone who makes a petition of God or man for 30 days will be thrown into the lions den
What does Daniel do?
Daniel 6:10–11 NKJV
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days. Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
Daniel was thrown into the lions den. He would spend the night there with savage lions.
Daniel Was Delivered Without Injury
Daniel 6:23  Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
Daniel’s Enemies Were Devoured By The Same Lions
Daniel 6:24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

Darius Decrees Daniels God Is The Living God

Daniel 6:25–28 NKJV
Then King Darius wrote: To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you. I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end. He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
A made up mind to do what he does with a heart of worship. Keep HIm first and He’ll do what He’s famous for. The pagans will recognize He is God.
