My Plan Growing Up

Tell Your Story (Basketball and how one day as a child growing up somebody told my grandmother that one day I would be a pastor)
My Plan to stay in the military how things didn’t go as planned after my altercations while in there, though I got to get a glimpse of something I planned to become it didn’t end that way.
Talk about the steps of process that I went through after my plans failed.
depression
weight gain
isolation
lost faith in myself and God… (Talk about how I tried to blame God for MY Plans not working, not knowing that His plans had been put on hold).
Divorce (I was in a toxic situation and didn’t know it was killing me while in the military).
Ask them,” have you ever seen consequences from plans that they had backfire on them adversely?” Backfire is a result of a plan that gets in God’s way.
Read 1st Scripture Jer 29
A letter to all of the Jews that left for Babylon with King Nebcuhadnezzar . They were to go there and pursue their usual way of life until God was to deliver them, however long that might be. Has God ever sent you somewhere and you were looking for a timeline or release to?
There was a timeline on this exile? How many of us have called audibles on plans that God was saying we needed to go through like we were going to help God out?
3. We have to stop looking at temporary people/places/things permanently when God is saying that this place is to grow you in the meantime, not to identify your final destiny. Babylon was never intended for God’s children to be, it was to be a place of process.
Establish a life but you can’t stay there. Have you ever had to start something in one place but finish it in another? (Spring Church tell a short story)
Jeremiah explains to them that the prophets that were with them were false. How many times have you been led by other people’s suggestions? What did God say? (vs. 15)
There was a penalty that was sent to the false prophet and those that listened to them.
sword: some were killed.
famine: provisions were snatched from them.
pestilence: their inability to advance any further in life due to deathly plague and illness.

What do I do to follow God’s Plan for My Life?

Seek His Plan
Psalm 37:5-11
You cannot despise your small beginning or wherever you have begun your journey. God’s plan is immaculate and beautiful for all of us. There is only one Jesus, thank God so we don’t have to worry about being crucified as he did though we shall be crucified one day, lol… I know, but hey that is just the Bible Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ....
Commit to His Plan
Prov 16:3
We have to make a conscious decision to be committed to His ways. If your work is being brought before the Lord wouldn’t you think that what you are doing is up to par with His expectations for your life?
Watch His Plan Make Success of Your life because of your Commitment
1 Corinthians 3:8–15 ESV
He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building. According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.
If it burns in the fire it was never made to last to begin with. There is an old song that goes
You may build great cathedrals large or small, you can build skyscrapers grand and tall, you may conquer all the failures of the past, but only what you do for Christ will last.
Remember only what You do for Christ will last. Remember only what you do for Christ will last, only what you do for Him will be counted at the end; only what you do for Christ will last.
You may seek earthly power and fame, the world might be impressed by your great name, soon the glories of this life will all be past, but only what you do for Christ will last.
Remember only what You do for Christ will last. Remember only what you do for Christ will last, only what you do for Him will be counted at the end; only what you do for Christ will last.
Though your armies may control each hemisphere, and your orbits out in space cause men to cheer, your scientific knowledge may be vast, but only what you do for Christ will last.
Remember only what You do for Christ will last. Remember only what you do for Christ will last, only what you do for Him will be counted at the end; only what you do for Christ will last.
Though your song and prayers are heard and praised by man, they've no meaning unless you've been born again, sinner, heed these words, don't let this harvest pass, for only what you do for Christ will last.
Remember only what You do for Christ will last. Remember only what you do for Christ will last, only what you do for Him will be counted at the end; only what you do for Christ will last.

Closing

We have been given great plans from God, and throughout the entire process it is imperative that we don’t become so comfortable with achieving a couple of milestones throughout our lives when there is sooooo much to accomplish.
His plans will always set us up for His Glory and Our Gain and that is The Plan!
