The church is messy because it’s made up of sinful people.

Historically we err on several things

Is this an error(tested by the Scriptures)

If it is an error- let us repent and teach correctly

It it is not an error- Our conscience is captive to the Word of God

But that the church isn’t perfect does not mean that you ought to throw up your hands and walk away.

WCF 25:4-5

How can Churches be synagogues of Satan- strong language

Abandoning the Gospel

if we give up the Gospel and our essiential doctrines we err so greatly as to no longer be called a church at all

Nevertheless- the church will always be a church of God worshipping rightly

There is a danger to say that ALL true churches of failed

Mormons have rooted themseleves in this way

Even if everyone falls away, God keeps his Church
