Introduction
On my way to work-one dark morning on the westbound side, I noticed two ladies and a small child in distress on the eastbound side. One of the ladies had driven into the concrete wall. One of the ladies was an older lady. They were both sitting on side on the curb with the small child nestled between them.
I instantly and instinctively turned into the parking lot of the closest gas station. I jumped out of the car and bolted across the road and dialed 9-1-1!
“When [I] call[ed] 9 1 1, a call-taker...answered the phone and [said], “911, what’s your emergency?” [Of course], [I told] the call-taker what the emergency [was]...”
“Psalm 94. An urgent call is here addressed to God to avenge his crushed people, the oppressed, the widow, the alien, and the fatherless, who suffer at the hands of proud, jubilant, arrogant evildoers. The situation resembles that faced by Amos and Micah, in which an unscrupulous ruling class oppressed the defenseless in society, those whom the prophets insisted were God’s special care.”

ANXIETY - troubled thought n. — thoughts that cause a person to be troubled or disquieted.
While loving concern may be constructive, Jesus cautions that unnecessary attention to physical needs or the “cares of the world” may hinder the life of faith and the Christian’s participation in the kingdom of God ( Luke 12:22–31). Rather, one should place his burdens on God, who protects and cares for his people (Phil. 4:6; 1 Pet. 5:7).
