Thought of the day: God loves you more than you can understand

Read Romans 5:8: repent

God: The creator of everything. The being who is worshiped nonstop by thousands of angels. A choir of heavenly beings surrounding Him. His spirit so full of glory that to look upon it would kill you. Angels cover their eyes to survive the heavenly holiness that radiates from His very being.
demonstrates: Puts on full display, in its entirety. The perfect picture. Not a new love but one that was hidden in His heart. He tore from His chest and held it up to the world. He demonstrates not by word alone but by action. He not only says He feels love toward you but He proves it.
“He manifested it, which was before hid in his heart; he has given clear evidence of it, a full proof and demonstration of it; he has so confirmed it by this instance, that there’s no room nor reason to doubt of it; he has illustrated and set it off with the greatest lustre”
Through this act God did not reveal a portion of His love but every ounce of it.
his own love: This was not a son appeasing a Father who hated His people
Jesus isn’t nice God and the Father mean God
** Example of asking mom or dad for something **
The father didn’t die, what did he lose? God and His perfect community of love, unity, and glory
for us: God was trying to show you that He loves you. Christ didn’t die just to justify you and heal the broken relationship between you and God. He died so that you would know it. Experience it. Revel in it. He could have secretly appeased the Father but then you wouldn’t know. It isn’t good enough for God to love you; He wants you to know about it.
While we were sinners: Before you ever thought of loving God, He loved you in this way. Sinners, enemies, foes, adversaries, opponents, rebels, challengers to His holiness.
God’s perspective is different than ours. He knew us before time began because He exists in all moments of time fully and equally. To God things don’t happen in such and such an order. Things just are and are not. Here’s why this is important. God loves you right now as much as He will ever love you. If you are called, set apart before the foundations of the world, God loved you then as much as He loves you now, and as much as He will ever love you. God loves you in your sinful state with the same magnitude as He will love you while you stand in heaven next to the throne and scream His praises.
There is no greater love than Christ on the cross. Therefore He loved you as much as he could when you were f
Christ: The messiah, the king, the Word, the beginning and the end, The only being ever wrapped in flesh to deserve honor and glory, self sustaining, needs nothing, the rightful ere to the throne
Died: The most complete manifestation of dishonor and sin, spiritual death, separated from His father, literally torn in two like the cow and the goat in Gen. 15 promise to Abraham, a voluntary wound, voluntary suffering, he bowed before His enemy, felt death but never needed to die.
For us: For you, so that you could know him, so that you could see and taste how sweet His love is for you, so that he might delight in His glory. Not because He needed you to, He has a choir of thousands of angels singing His praise a universe that screams of His power and might. He died for us, so that every facet of His character might be revealed. He used our sin as the canvas on which to reveal the depth of His mercy, grace, and love. While you were His enemy the only being truly worthy of all honor was dishonored, in order to write you a love letter like no other.

Conclusion

Acts of love and their degree
Cost: what does it cost the giver?
Worthiness : how deserving is the receiver?
Value: how good is the gift?
It cost God what he held most dear: to show you, in your most unworthy state: that he loves you with all His heart.
God truly does love us more than we can understand.
