Keep Me From What?

Jud 1:24  Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 

Jud 1:25  To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. 

Jude the writer of this so short of letter of which is so over looked for sermons and reading. But yet has as all scripture important information and instructions for the perfection and earthly duration of the Christian Believer.

Jude or Judas identifies himself as a servant of Jesus Christ and the brother of James. This is to distinguish himself from Judas Iscariot who betrayed Christ.

Luk 6:16  And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor. 

Some believe he is the Judas of Matthew 13: 55 the half brother of Jesus. And four other possibilities which at this time are not as important as the message.

Jude here in this letter covers the coming of false prophets and deceivers into the body of Christ.

Tempting the Righteous to leave their heavenly estate and defile themselves in worldly lust.

We have evidence of this deception in the past and present political scene.

With what is called misinformation on Facebook and Twitter and Cable News and Podcasts and Talk Radio etc.....

We have observed the reality of the last day workings of Satan’s wickedness by turning friends and family and co-workers against each other. Pastors of faith of one political persuasion now having enmity against another of a different persuasion.

Persuading you not to wear a mask for your protection and now persuading many not to receive the vaccine.

Paul tells his son Timothy 2Ti 3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 

2Ti 3:13  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 

We will dig into this letter more in dept with a Bible study. However we are now interested in the closing or Doxology (a hymn or praise to God).

Verses :

Joh 10:27  My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 

Joh 10:28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 

Joh 10:29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 

Jude in this letter gives us warning of the seducers, the false persuaders, the liers, those sneaky creepers who are trying to plant tares into the wheat and corrupt your righteousness.

Those who will be mockers of all that which is holy and attempt to shame you out of your holy state.

But Jude encourages us in verse 20 to build ourselves up in our most holy faith to pray in the Spirit.

Jude warns us that in the last days the prince of this world will not tire in making his attempts to sway us to turn from our walk in Christ and to listen to the deceiver the Devil as Eve did in the garden and disobey the commands of God.

Eve listened and Fell. Adam listened and Fell..... David looked and Fell....Judas Iscariot coveted and Fell

I am here to tell you today Satan is not on your side. He has only one intent and that is to pull you out of the grace of God.

To turn you to deny your faith and to cause you to fall into curse damnation.

He is attempting to make you fall.

First he will try to make you stumble

Trip you up

Deceive you that wrong is right

And only after you have fallen will he show you the truth and that is only to cause you to then condemn yourself and not seek repentance.

I know that if I fall, God will pick me up through repentance and humility.

Psalm 51 let’s me know that God will forgive and restore and pick up the falling believer.

But Jude tells us that there is a power in God through the name of Jesus. That dunamas power that will not only pick you up but Jude says has the ability to keep you from falling at all.

Satan is trying to pull us the Saints down in these last days. He knows his final state of death and damnation and he wants to bring down as many with him as he can...... An he knows his time is not long to do his work...

Just as Jesus told the other Judah go and do what you have to do..........Judah Iscariot was to betray Jesus to the cross...

Well Satan has been given permission to deceive the world in these last days ......

But I am glad to report Jesus says in Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. 

Listen to what Jesus says to us:
