Sermon introduction

Battered, brusied, tired and uncertain! How do you keep standing in a fight; whether its a fight for your ministry, family, finances or identity all fights can leave you feeling depleted and uncertain.
Recently, my friend a Bible college graduate and a strong single mother of 3 teenage children cried out about what feels to her like the deepest of valleys.
Let us turn together to Exodus 17:9-13 to see how the Bible shows that we must stand with a community of prayerful believers if we are to prevail against the attacks of an enemy.

Scripture Introduction

The Israelites had been delivered by God from Egypt, gone through a testing period which included both hardships and provision in the wilderness and now they are being attacked by a nation called Amalek.
Joshua has is accountable to Moses.
