Introduction:
Families are so important. In the begining chapters of the bible, Gods design for the familiy is created and established. This morning I want to show you from scripture what God’s design is for the family.
Now, we are living in a culture that is swiftly moving away from God’s original design. The enemy that decieved Adam in Eve in chapter 3 of Genesis is attacking the family today. Satan is a deciever and one of his main strategies is to decieve the child of God into believing a lie. He did this with Adam and Eve and tried with Jesus but failed.
God has a plan and a purpose for familes and that main purpose is to reflect his love for the church. Paul shares God’s words in Ephesians 5:22-33 concerning the family and the husband and wives responsibilities. I find verse 32 of this passage interesting. It says “This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. For Paul, marriage is a picture of Christ’s faithfulness to the church and the role that a husband and wife play in that marriage relationship pictures to a lost world the love God has for his people.
God has a design for the family and he wants your marriage and family to be blessed. God is the designer and author of Marriage. This morning, we are going to see that God saw the need for marriage, provided what Adam needed, and blessed Adam and Eve with purpose.
