Handout
1 In the second year of King Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest:
2 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “These people say, ‘The time has not yet come for the Lord’s house to be built.’ ”
3 Then the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai:
4 “Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?”
5 Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways.
6 You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”
7 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways.
8 Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build the house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,” says the Lord.
9 “You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?” declares the Lord Almighty. “Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house.
10 Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops.
11 I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the oil and whatever the ground produces, on men and cattle, and on the labor of your hands.”
1. Time to rebuild with vision
1. Time to rebuild with vision
Noah built the Ark exactly as God revealed it to him
Moses built the Tabernacle exactly as God revealed it to him
Believe in the vision
18 Without revelation people run wild, but one who follows divine instruction will be happy.
Where divine revelation, and the faithful preaching of the sacred testimonies, are neither reverenced nor attended, the ruin of that land is at no great distance.
Back the vision
2 The Lord answered me: Write down this vision; clearly inscribe it on tablets so one may easily read it.
3 For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it testifies about the end and will not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, since it will certainly come and not be late.

16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
23 Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people,
24 knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.

Growth through involvement
12 Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the basic principles of God’s revelation again. You need milk, not solid food.
4. The vision demands submission and obedience
4. The vision demands submission and obedience
1 Let everyone submit to the governing authorities, since there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are instituted by God.
2 So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God’s command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on themselves.
17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, since they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they can do this with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
Division is the action of separating something into parts
God expects us to be of one mind, one vision
Follow the leader
God gave Moses the vision of the Tabernacle
God gave Noah the vision of the Ark
God chose Solomon to build His Temple
God always chooses a leader
God always surrounds the leader
You are here because the House needs you

Our vision
God called us to make faithful disciples of Jesus who live the Authentic Faith that produces Real Transformation. As a result, the San Antonio metropolitan area will be changed with the Christian influence being increasingly felt in families, businesses, education, and media. We further intend to multiply our worldwide ministry by planting churches, by preparing our people for ministry, by sending out ministry teams, and by becoming a resource center for other ministries.
