In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
Part 1 we discussed the light of men in terms of what it exposes, ie. lies, darkness, and unrighteousness.
Today we want to consider what the Light of Men reveals.
The Light of Men Revealed the Power of God
The Light of Men Revealed the Power of God
Over Demonic Power
“But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Over Sickness and Disease
Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.
Power to forgive sin
And they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, “Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven.”
“Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk’?
“But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Get up, pick up your bed and go home.”
The Light of Men Revealed the Plan of God - The Way to Salvation
The Light of Men Revealed the Plan of God - The Way to Salvation
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
God’s Grace
God’s Truth
For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.
God’s love was demonstrated through Christ.
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The Invitation of Jesus the Christ
The Invitation of Jesus the Christ
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
