Therefore - builds off of what was mentioned last time.
remember - We normally talk about forgetting our past. Yet this is different.
you gentiles - This is who he was talking to. You and me.
in the flesh - The difference was not spritiaul but phyiscal.
called circumcision - uncircumcision was dirty wor

Remember where you came from.

Ephesians 2:12 ESV
12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
remember: command.
Contrast vs Phillipians. purpose was to lift up Christ.
seperated from Christ. - Messiah.

Its impossible to be prideful when we condiser what God has done for us.

What unites us spiritually is stronger than what divides us physically.

Ephesians 2:13 ESV
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

Peace must start with peace with God.

If people can you give you peace, then people can take peace away.

Remember God’s peace allows us to live at peace with others.

Ephesians 2:14 ESV
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility
Jesus is our peace - Peace - Not that he will help us find peace. But he is peace!!!
Peaece is more than absest of problems. Marriage can be horrible but they never fight.

broken down his flesh - He did it when he came.

Ephesians 2:15 ESV
15 by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace,
ordinances - dogma -
one new man , in replace of two - We have no choice but to be united. We are one.
stop hitting yourself.
Ephesians 2:16 ESV
16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.
Reconcile us both - bring us together, not to each other but to God.
Get closer to God, while still looking at the other person.
Killing hostility - Jesus doesn’t kill often. but he does here.
CONCLUSION: Marriage illustration - sitting on two sides of the wall

There is no room for divisions at the foot of the cross.
