All: Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Moderator: Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fever, serving the Lord. All: Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. CALL TO WORSHIP Moderator: Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. All: Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Moderator: Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. All: If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not be overcome CALL TO WORSHIP All: Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifies, holy and pleasing to God --- this is your spiritual act of worship. Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me What gift of grace is Jesus my redeemer There is no more for heaven now to give He is my joy, my righteousness, and freedom My steadfast love, my deep and boundless peace To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus For my life is wholly bound to his Oh how strange and divine, I can sing: all is mine! Yet not I, but through Christ in me The night is dark but I am not forsaken For by my side, the Savior he will stay I labor on in weakness and rejoicing For in my need, his power is displayed To his I hold, my Shepherd will defend me Through the deepest valley he will lead Oh the night has been won, and I shall overcome! Yet not I, but through Christ in me No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven The future sure, the price it has been paid! For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon And he was raised to overthrow the grave To this I hold, my sin has been defeated Jesus now and ever is my plea Oh the chains are released, I can sing: I am free! Yet not I, but through Christ in me. Confession & Prayer Assurance of Grace Assurance of Grace Hebrews 4 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are— yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace Communion King Of Kings In the darkness we were waiting Without hope without light Till from heaven You came running There was mercy in Your eyes To fulfill the law and prophets To a virgin came the Word From a throne of endless glory To a cradle in the dirt Praise the Father Praise the Son Praise the Spirit three in one God of glory, Majesty Praise forever to the King of Kings To reveal the kingdom coming And to reconcile the lost To redeem the whole creation You did not despise the cross For even in Your suffering You saw to the other side Knowing this was our salvation Jesus for our sake You died Praise the Father Praise the Son Praise the Spirit three in one God of glory, Majesty Praise forever to the King of Kings And the morning that You rose All of heaven held it’s breath Till that stone was moved for good For the Lamb had conquered death And the dead rose from their tombs And the angels stood in awe For the souls of all who’d come to the Father are restored And the Church of Christ was born, then the Spirit lit the flame Now this gospel truth of old shall not kneel, shall not faint By His blood and in His name, in His freedom I am free For the love of Jesus Christ Who has resurrected me In the darkness we were waiting Without hope without light Till from heaven You came running There was mercy in Your eyes To fulfill the law and prophets To a virgin came the Word From a throne of endless glory To a cradle in the dirt Praise the Father Praise the Son Praise the Spirit three in one God of glory, Majesty Praise forever to the King of Kings Praise for-ever to the King of Kings. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each 14 other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, 15 help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do 16 what is good for each other and for everyone else. Rejoice 17 always, pray continually, all God’s people with a holy kiss. 12 1 Thessalonians 5:12-28 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for 19 20 you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat 21 prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to 22 23 what is good, reject every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the 24 coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is 25 faithful, and he will do it. Brothers and sisters, pray for 26 27 us. Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss.
