We Have a Great High Priest

Hebrews 4:14
Hebrews 4:14 NASB95
14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
Therefore - Hebrews 4:11-13
Hebrews 4:11–13 NASB95
11 Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

Assended to heaven
Atmosphere
Outerspace
Heaven it self

We Have an Understand High Priest

Hebrews 4:15
Hebrews 4:15 NASB95
15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
Jesus understands us
Because He became one of us He can understand us.
our frality
our struggles
our temptations
He was tempted in all things
this does not mean that Jesus had every temptation we do.
Jesus would not have been tempted to drink and dirve a “car”
Jesus would not have been tempted to watch pornagraphy on a computer.
Just as we are not be tempted to turn stones into bread
Satan only tempts us in areas we can do or are possible for us.
He was tempted in all area of life.
1 John 2:16
1 John 2:16 NASB95
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.
yet He did not sin
yet He did not sin
Making Him a GREAT Hight Priest
He does not have to offer up sacriffices for His sins

We Have Confidence Through Our High Priest

Hebrews 4:16
Hebrews 4:16 NASB95
16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Holy of Holies
Leviticus 16 there are about 34 verse of how Aaron was to enter once a year into the Holy of Holies and how he was to do that.
If it was not done properly the priest would die

Esther 4:11
Esther 4:11 NASB95
11 “All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that for any man or woman who comes to the king to the inner court who is not summoned, he has but one law, that he be put to death, unless the king holds out to him the golden scepter so that he may live. And I have not been summoned to come to the king for these thirty days.”
Jesus’s death
Matthew 27:50-51
Matthew 27:50–51 NASB95
50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. 51 And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.
exodus 26:31-33
Exodus 26:31–33 NASB95
31 “You shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen; it shall be made with cherubim, the work of a skillful workman. 32 “You shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, their hooks also being of gold, on four sockets of silver. 33 “You shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring in the ark of the testimony there within the veil; and the veil shall serve for you as a partition between the holy place and the holy of holies.
