DOMINION - the person’s territorial power from God. Only a person with dominion can delegate authority to another, who will operate in the person’s territory.

AUTHORITY - the power or right to give orders (direction and instruction), make decisions, and enforce obedience.

Difference Between Dominion And Authority

Dominion is our territorial power assigned by God. It is the area of ownership or greatest stewardship.

Authority is the delegated power to “legally” operate in another person’s area of dominion.

Difference Between Leading And Ruling

LEADING - We lead when people follow us of their own free will and give us permission to guide them.

RULING - We rule when people do not want to follow us, even though they may know we are carrying out God’s will.

Illustration - We lead when we let someone know what we are trying to do, they cooperate, and follow.

We rule when people don’t really want to follow.
