Praise for the Majestic Voice of God
Praise for the Majestic Voice of God
Psalm 29
We are told to enter into the Gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with Praise psalm 100:4
Gates represent the gates of a city whose builder and maker is God (Zion) New Jerusalem
We are invited to enter these gates with thanksgiving to Him and into his courts with praise
He is the gate (door) through whom we are invited to come
29:1-2 We give unto the Lord, thanks for our strength, our might which comes from Him.
(be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might)
We acknowledge that it is through His mighty acts of Deliverance and Salvation that we offer the Glory to His name
We recognize that to give Glory to His name is to walk in obedience towards Him and His Word.
We recognize and acknowledge that He has made us Holy and so we worship Him in the beauty of that Holiness
29: 3-5 The voice of the Lord ( When He speaks, and as He has spoken through His Word) is over (has all authority over) the waters
(Waters represent the undeveloped world, people, nations) His voice is majestic, thunderous, it breaks the hardened soil of hearts
and brings to the knees the proud of heart and the mighty of this world.
29:6 The Voice of the Lord also causes the heart to skip to a new tune or beat and fills the heart with joy
29:7-8 The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire (Tongue is a fire, set ablaze by the pits of Hell) The Lord separates the evil tongue of fire
and sets the tongue a fire with the blaze of His Words and His Gospel to start a fire of revival in others.
The voice of the Lord calls out in the wilderness of this sinful world and shakes us loose from the wilderness of sin and draws us unto Himself
29:9 The voice of the Lord brings multiplication to the soul who like the deer thirsts for the water of Life.
The voice of the Lord brings us into His temple in Zion and then into the temple of our bodies.
29:10 The voice of God enthrones Him as the perfect judge in the judgement, and the excellent King over all
29:11 The voice of the Lord gives strength through Hope to His people and fills them with Peace which passes all understanding
Question: Have you allowed yourself to hear His majestic voice through His Word, His Spirit and through the Peace which only He can give? If so, what should be your response?
