Intro: Hows Things
Why Did Jesus Perform miracles.
john 4:47-50
47 When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and was imploring Him to come down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.
48 So Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you simply will not believe.”
49 The royal official said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”
50 Jesus said to him, “Go; your son lives.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and started off.
Mt 11:5-65
5 the blind receive sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
6 “And blessed is he who does not take offense at Me.”
There is a close link between these miracles and the work of the apostles in testifying to the person and work of their Lord; they are part of the proclamation of the kingdom of God, not an end in themselves.[1]
