What is Chi Alpha?

Introduction

Hello everyone, I’m so glad you found our group and have come to see what we are about. I know from personal experience that it can be intimidating check out a group like this when you may not know many people or anyone at all. But it can be super awkward too, so I’m just going to get it out of the way and say that I am super awkward and there is no judgement here, we can be super awkward together.

So I am Pastor Lauren, I’m a director for Chi Alpha, along with my husband Alan. I know when I first heard about XA from a friend who was inviting me to an event they were hosting, I was like, “Is this a serority?” Like “what is she getting me into?” But I quickly learned this was a group of young people who had friendships that were so real and full of love, I had to know what made them different. And what I saw was a group of people who were pursuing Jesus with everything that they had. That is what XA is. Our mission is to make Jesus known to the university and the world.
